1963 ANU PROTOTYPE BUS SHELTER

Shortly after the R G Menzies Library building was opened in 1963 a bus service was inaugurated to connect the campus with Civic and I designed and organised the erection of this shelter in Fellows Road between the H C Coombs building and the Menzies.

It was designed as a quiet, restrained, no frills, no advertising piece of architecture with colours and textures reminiscent of the bush setting as it was then.

A successful design, but to my knowledge the only one erected on campus.
