I managed to buy a few Bendix chair bases while at ANU and I had a few Blackwood laminated tops made by Kees Westra.
With adjustable height castors they have served us well for 55 years, being easy to move around and, being height adjustable can be combined to make a larger table. They can also serve as stools.
I am as happy with the design now as I was when I made them – they are timeless and virtually indestructable.
